As we continue to engage in deep listening to one another, in the lead up to the GS Chapter in October, we find ourselves travelling side by side, sharing ideas about the future of Good Shepherd. At the Regional Chapters, which were held in several States and New Zealand in recent weeks, the term ‘co-responsibility’ surfaced many times as we shared about the journey now and into the future. Staff, Sisters and those associated with Good Shepherd began talking about what co-responsibility for Good Shepherd MIGHT mean.

CO-RESPONSIBILITY
-
What’s your understanding?
-
What’s its meaning for you?
-
For what?
-
For whom?
-
Other questions it raises for you?
-
Are there words, stories, images that help you unpack this word?
Building A Cathedral
A man was passing a work site and saw three bricklayers.
He approached the first bricklayer and asked: “What are you doing?”
The man answered, “Making a living!”
He asked the second man the same question and he answered,
“Laying bricks!” He asked the third worker: “What are you doing?” and the man responded “Building a Cathedral!”
What does this story say to you?
Where do you see yourself in this story?
What helps us to see the bigger picture?
“Write the vision down…to be easily read, since this vision is for its own time only: eager for its own fulfilment, it does not deceive; if it comes slowly, wait, for come it will, without fail”…..Habakkuk 2:2-3 (Prophet in the Hebrew Scriptures/Old Testament)
